Mastering Life-Saving Skills with CPR Course Brisbane
OPTION 1: EXPRESS (ALL LOCATIONS)
- Most popular! 1 hour practical assessment-only session
- Pre-course online video-based learning
- Ideal for CPR refresher courses or those who simply prefer self-paced theory learning and a shorter class.

OPTION 2: FACE-TO-FACE (WED AT DEAGON)
- 2 hr face-to-face practical class
- Short online pre-course learning covering basics.
- Ideal for first-time learners or those who enjoy face-to-face style learning.

This course will give participants confidence and skills in how to provide first aid response, life support including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and management of casualty(s) until the arrival of medical or other assistance.
CPR TOPICS COVERED:
- Babies and children CPR
- Safety Issues at Home and at Work
- Unconscious Casualty
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- First Aid Principles
- First Aid Hygiene and Infectious Diseases
- Using a defibrillator or AED Unit
- What to do in an Emergency, Calling for Help
On successful completion of this course, you will receive a nationally recognised statement of attainment for the following units:
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
A digital copy will be available to download from your learner dashboard, usually within 24 hours.
If a hard copy of the certificate is required, this needs to be requested in advance. An extra $5 will be added for this. Please note hard copies can take up to 30 business days to arrive (based on Australia post). It is recommended that this unit be renewed every 3 years in line with industry standards.
RECERTIFICATION
Current industry standards recommend the following recertification frequency to maintain currency of skills and knowledge:
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation – every 12 months
All format options for this course incorporate pre-course online learning, including:
EXPRESS PRACTICAL FORMAT – Comprehensive video-based online learning and theory assessment prior to attendance.
FACE-TO-FACE FORMAT – Short online learning to cover basics prior to attendance.
Once booked you will receive an email with details of your chosen assessment location and time. Simply complete the video-based online training on your chosen device at your convenience.
Remember:
- Your online learning must be completed before attending your practical assessment.
- All modules will become green when this is finished
- To ensure you are fully prepared and confident for the practical assessment, we recommend rewatching the assessable topics carefully just prior to attending.
