What will I learn in my CPR Course?
HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is all about giving you the confidence and know-how to give CPR in life-threatening emergencies. This course focuses on providing CPR and managing critical situations until medical help arrives. It’s practical, straightforward, and designed to prepare you for the moments that matter most.
CPR Topics Covered:
- CPR techniques for babies, children, and adults—know how to adjust.
- How to manage an unconscious casualty—step by step with confidence.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation—the life-saving basics done right.
- Using a defibrillator (AED unit) These lifesaving devices are making a huge difference.
Get ready to walk away with real skills and real confidence. Let’s get started!
Certification Details
On successful completion of this course, you will receive a nationally recognised statement of attainment for the following units:
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
A digital copy will be available to download from your learner dashboard, usually within 24 hours.
If a hard copy of the certificate is required, this needs to be requested in advance. An extra $5 will be added for this. Please note hard copies can take up to 30 business days to arrive (based on Australia post). It is recommended that this unit be renewed every 3 years in line with industry standards.
Recertification
Current industry standards recommend the following recertification frequency to maintain currency of skills and knowledge:
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation – every 12 months

Comprehensive video-based online learning and theory assessment prior to attendance.
Once booked you will receive an email with details of your chosen assessment location and time. Simply complete the video-based online training on your chosen device at your convenience.
- Your online learning must be completed before attending your practical assessment.
- All modules will become green when this is finished
- To ensure you are fully prepared and confident for the practical assessment, we recommend reviewing key videos carefully just prior to attending.
